EMERGENCY COMMISSION INFORMATION

My going rate for commission work is $20/hour. This translates to the following:

- 1 hour: lineart or detailed sketch, one character/some background work
- 2 hours: basic rendered coloring or clean cel-shading, one character/some background work
- 3-6 hours: detailed coloring, moderate background
- 10+ hours: digital painting

Number of hours taken increases as characters and details are added; it goes without saying that a quick flat-color drawing of your character standing on a blank background wearing a birthday suit takes less time than a well-rendered digital painting of three characters in stylized armor dancing on a table in a crowded pub. For anything not explicitly mentioned here, an estimate will be given to you from the outset via email, and we can negotiate from there.

Additionally, I also do music; if you need a backing track for a project, let me know! My music rates tend to run quite a bit higher as the hours required for writing/producing/mastering one song can vary from 4-5 hours to 20 or more, depending on style and complexity. MOTION GRAPHICS

NOVEMBER 27, 2011

In order to get my feet wet with After Effects and warm up for the huge amount of work ahead of me with Cycle Town, I thought I should start at the beginning and make a simple but effective ident.

My first attempt was not particularly great and is no longer available online; here's the second, however:

Okay. Got the late-80's "let's use half of the effects in Video Toaster to make something REALLY OVERWROUGHT" temptation out of the way.

Now on to Revision 3:

Better, but still not quite right for the project: it's still too dark, both visually and audibly!

Let's try one more time with R4:

Perfect.
